Letter from Me, Jorel!

Hello family that couldn't make it to our Christmas bash! Santa came and visited and he treated me pretty good! I really enjoyed Christmas and all the presents that I received all because it was Jesus' birthday! I must have been a pretty good boy... I stayed up pretty late on Christmas Eve out of anticipation, I'm glad Santa didn't pass my house! I even got to open one present Christmas Eve because of the Finish tradition - they were pajamas. It wasn't until a little after midnight that I finally fell asleep and then my mom had to wake me up in the morning so we could open some presents. We played around most of the day, Uncle Markus was a lot of fun, he got a matching shirt! We ate dinner around 4:00 and there was some GOOD stuff! Some foods I had never eaten before, which isn't too surprising, I guess. Anyway, I just wanted to share that I had a pretty good Christmas! Thanks everyone, here are some pictures of my events. There are videos too, but our connection doesn't upload them very well. Oh, and today I fell asleep in my cool chair, it was funny...
Love, Jorel

Christmas Wish(es)

My super cutest gal pal, Dallas is doing a giveaway on her blog and asked for a Christmas wish. I really got to thinking about this... do I even have a Christmas wish? When was the last time I truly did? Well, sure enough I've got tons of them! So I thought I would blog about them :) I wish:

  • Jorel will have a great Christmas - I know its not one he'll remember, but I bet he'll still be excited.
  • to be a great mom - It's hard work!
  • to hear the words "I'm pregnant" come out of my sister or her husbands mouth... they so deserve one (more than I did) and Jorel SO desperately wants a(nother) cousin!
  • to get re-acquainted with my Hurricane friends -and even get more friends, I get bored sometimes.
  • to find a career - anyone hiring?
  • that Jorel will continue to grow up healthy - we are so blessed that he is!
  • that we can all remember that He is the reason for Christmas.
  • that Jorel and I can become financially stable - hence the reason I'm looking for a job... :)
  • for a fairy tale love story - hey, a girl can dream can't she?
  • to finish up with my Master's degree on time! 1 more year!
okay, okay, I think that's enough! Thanks Dall for being so cute and creative! Hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

What's your Christmas Wish?

It Snowed

ALL DAY Monday it snowed! And we really didn't even have that much on the ground, but we did have enough to make a snowman and for Jorel to play in it until it all melted away only about an an hour later.... and I can't say that Jorel was a fan, until a little later.

Oh, and Sunday we had our traditional white elephant gift party at my sister Deni's house. Always good food, and always good company, and always good presents! Thanks Deni and Bart... Lots of fun as usual! And of course I only got pics of us in the back seat on the way to the party... how silly of me!

Lots of Pics

And I do mean LOTS! Sometimes - like the last couple of days, I wish I had just a little nicer camera - like a Canon Digital Rebel Xsi to be exact :) But then again, that wouldn't make me an amazing photographer - so sometimes I wish I had a professional around or could afford some really awesome professional shots.... but anyway Jorel was ultra cute and makes any picture adorable! The weather was so nice that we have been spending a lot of time outside so here are some of the millions of pictures I've taken with my semi-ok camera (which I do love). Oh, and don't forget to check out his Chuck Taylors that my sissies got him at the baby shower - they finally fit and are oh so cute! There's also a Christmas Pics tease towards the end... if you want one, let me know :) or

The weather has finally turned colder so the leaves decided to fall of the trees, here's baby J playing in them - not his favorite thing...
Him and Ginger have become pretty good friends:
He liked playing in Grandpa Ron's truck:
Here is his first "real" ouchie - of many to come I'm sure! :( but a few minutes later he was back playing around - but it just breaks your heart! I was in my room for a second and though that he was behind me... next thing I hear a quiet crash but into the piano and a screaming cry that sends shivers down your back. I guess he was climbing on his car seat and tipped it over I guess, I didn't see it happen... but it already looks SO much better today. poor monkey...
And of course the few other randoms:
